The story
Rain taps against the window. Marnie stands by the door with an umbrella while Bram checks the time. Nick is studying a lighted lantern on the table. Glitter swirls around its fixed Santa scene. He leans closer, looking quietly pleased with the conditions.
“Still raining?” Bram asks. Nick keeps watching the lantern. “Light flurries.” Marnie follows his gaze, then looks back at the wet pavement. “Where, exactly?” Nick indicates the table with two fingers. “Locally.” The Santa figure stays still while the glitter catches the light around it.
Marnie lowers the umbrella. They have a few minutes before they need to leave, and the room is warm. Bram sits down to finish his coffee. Nick slides the biscuit plate toward them without looking away from his little weather station. “Conditions are improving.” For once, nobody feels the need to qualify the report.
Give the glow a little space
A glitter lantern can bring light and movement to a small table or shelf. Compare the exterior dimensions with the space available, including room to reach its controls. Check the power options and any timer described for the selected model. Look closely at the pictured scene and finish: those details matter as much in daylight as the illuminated glitter does after dark.
